Description:
In Champagne during 1997, winter and spring frosts were followed by a cold and wet summer, but the harvest was saved by a warm and sunny September.
Pinot Noirs from Aÿ and Verzenay and Chardonnays from Avize and Chouilly were vinified on their lees in oak casks. Pinot Noir from Dizy (amounting to 10% of the final blend) completed the assemblage.
