Description:
The traditional way of making Rosé, known as “saignée”, is used. This method involves allowing the musts to drain (“bleed”) away only when they have taken on the desired rosé colour. The maceration lasts 24 to 48 hours.
The champagne is salmon pink in colour with many light bubbles. The aroma is of delicate red fruits. The taste is supple, round and well-structured.
Ratings:
91/100 “Dry, delicate style, yet there’s no shortage of flavour, with compote of berry, vanilla and ginger. Intense and balanced. Vinous, with a lingering finish. Drink now through 2009.” Wine Spectator.
“Such class. Delicate raspberry colour and refined, creamy mousse. Ripe strawberries burst from the supple, structured palate.” International Wine Challenge.
